About Us

Welcome to my kitchen! My name is Nicole Little. I am a fashion and retail major at UW-Stout, but I am also very passionate about baking. I am originally from Appleton, Wisconsin, but currently live in Menomonie, Wisconsin. I love all things food, baking, photography, and fashion.

I started Baking For Beginners in 2022 to cater to new bakers. Whether you are fresh out of high school, or in your fifties wanting to learn how to bake, this is a great place to start.

I left high school and moved to a new town for college. Once I arrived, I realized I really didn’t know how to bake. My mom used to make the most delicious treats that I could not replicate because of my lack of baking experience. I did not give up on baking, and instead I chose to do some research on kitchen prep, tools that I would need, what type of ingredients I would need, and overall basics. The problem I kept running into was having to jump from website to website. I found this frustrating, so I had the idea to put everything you need on one website.

It began as a way for me to find all the information I needed in one spot. Then, I started sharing my website to my friends who were also interested in learning to bake. From there, the website got shared and passed on until it just took off!
